The perfect antidote to the school classroom!
5 whole days of Forest School for children aged 5-7 in a beautiful private woodland by Chew Valley Lake.
Forest School sessions run from 10am-3pm on the following dates:
Monday 30th July
Monday 6th August
Monday 13th August
Thursday 23rd August
Friday 31st August
Single bookings are possible. 10% discount offered for bookings of 3 or more dates.
During each day of our Forest School, children will have the opportunity to engage with different activities, explore the woodland, make something to take home and most importantly, PLAY!
Activities include den-building, fire-skills, using hand-tools for green-woodworking, making lotions and potions, whittling, cooking snacks over a campfire, playing woodland games, story-telling, rope swing and much more!
In addition to facilitating planned activities we always ensure that the days are also very child-led, encouraging them to explore, play, make and learn, both independently and together as a group.
Book 3 or more dates and receive 10% off!
The Forest School is designed in a way that the sessions complements each other, with different activities available each day. Children benefit most from attending several sessions and so a discount is available for those booking 3 or more sessions (see details below).
"Flo had great fun and chatted non stop about each day when she got home. She is very proud of her achievements, particularly the cooking, learning to saw wood and make a necklace, the campfire, popcorn and making the den - she clearly really enjoyed herself. Very inspirational..."

- Siblings are entitled to a 10% discount. Please use discount code Sibling.

Our Forest School Leader
Our Forest School days are run by Claire Rosling (Forest School Leader) and Johanna Bohlen (Assistant). Claire is a qualified and experienced Forest School Leader who has been running Forest School sessions for over 6 years. She is first aid trained and both she and Johanna are DBS checked.
Our Forest School is being held in a private woodland in Chew Stoke in the Chew Valley.
Detailed directions will be sent within order confirmation emails.
Do I drop children off or do parents stay?
Parents drop children off for Forest School for a 10am start and collect at 3pm.
Our Forest School is out in the wild woods and as such we we have no permanent toilet facilities on site. We will be providing a temporary, private (and hygienic) latrine that we will show children how to use. A great skill to learn for wild camping! Hand-washing facilities will be provided.
If for whatever reason you need to cancel your booking, we offer a full refund up to one week prior to the course date. For cancellations with less than one week’s notice you will only receive a refund if we can find someone to take your place.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel we will give you at least 24 hours notice and will give you a full refund. NB. Adverse weather including high winds, electrical storms and ice may force us to cancel the event.
