Summer Farm & Forest Fun!

Our Farm & Forest School is back this summer holiday - come and let your little ones run wild!

Dates:

All sessions are from 10am-3pm on the following dates during the summer holiday:

Monday 25th July

FRIDAY 5th August

FRIDAY 12th August

Monday 15th August

Monday 22nd August

NB. So that children get the most out of their experience we encourage parents to book as many sessions as possible - this helps to develop a good group dynamic, build trust and respect for one another and build independence.

Age-range:

This event is for children aged 5-7 years old. To ensure that activities are made suitable and achievable for the group we alway work with a small age-range and a group of no more than 8 children.

The fun to be had!

Our Farm & Forest summer holiday club is based at two different sites in the glorious Chew Valley: The Community Farm, a beautiful Organic farm with yurt, over-looking Chew Valley Lake, and a local woodland in Chew Stoke.

Summer is the most exciting time on the farm - the fields are packed with crops that we'll be harvesting to make our own seasonal snack (including pizzas!) in the wood-fired oven! The farm will also be a-buzz with wildlife which we'll get exploring, including having a go at pond-dipping! To top it all off, we'll be having a go at using vegetables and other plants from around the farm for some fun projects including natural dying.

In the woods we'll get up to all sorts of fun forest school activities - Children will get the opportunity to explore the woodland, harvest natural materials and learn how to use a variety of hand-tools for their own woodcraft projects. We'll cook snacks over a campfire, play woodland games and have fun :-)

NB. If your children have attended previous Farm and Forest Fun days with us, rest assured that we always run new activities to keep it fresh and exciting and in-line with the seasons.

Dates on the farm: Monday 25th July, FRIDAY 12th August and Monday 22nd August

Dates in the woods: FRIDAY 5th August and Monday 15th August

If you're keen to get your kids outside and re-connected with food and the natural world then this is the perfect opportunity!

What parents have to say about us...

"Thanks so much for a fabulous two days. Flo had great fun and chatted non stop about each day of the course when she got home each evening. She is very proud of her achievements, particularly the cooking, learning to saw wood and make a necklace, the campfire, popcorn and making the den - she clearly really enjoyed herself. Very inspirational, would definitely recommend your courses to friends. Thanks again. "
