What better a way to celebrate the harvest? Bring your children along for a day of harvesting crops at cooking and eating(!) with award winning children's chef, Jo Ingleby at The Community Farm.
During the day, children and accompanying adults will harvest crops from the fields and learn how to make a tasty, seasonal vegetarian meal to share.
Jo Ingleby (BBC Cook of the year 2015) and Claire Rosling from Earthwise will be leading the day. With their great experience combined, this is sure to be a fantastic experience for those budding chefs and fussy eaters alike!
NB. All dishes prepared will be vegetarian and we always design the menu to accommodate any dietary requirements of the group.
We will be holding two separate cookery sessions for different age ranges:
NB. This is just used as a guide so if you have two children that fall in different age groups please use your own judgement.
"The setting and the flow of activities was just so perfect! Your team was fantastic and Jo incarnates a subtle mix of charisma with humbleness that adds onto this great 'feel good factor'! There is so much passion behind your work that it genuinely shines out. We will come back for sure!"
What do the kids have to say?
"I love making the bread, picking the veg and eating it all at the end - YUM YUM!! I had never had frittata but I LOVE it!! I would love to come again. Thank you very much!!! PS. My fave bit was running over the soil!!"
"It was one of the best days of my life!"
"Picking the veg and chopping them was my favourite bits."
"I am happy I can give food to mummy."
